LAB PRESENTATIONS The Lab Presentations are planned as a forum to introduce the different laboratories mission and objectives, as well as present outstanding results of running projects that will benefit the community as a whole. Presentations may consist of a poster, a demo session or a short oral presentation. This event presents a unique and beneficial opportunity for the different research groups to introduce themselves, describe their interests and areas of activity, as well as their research directions, to further contacts and cooperation, two of the main goals of this initiative. We cordially invite you to participate by submitting a Lab Presentation to SIBGRAPI/SIACG 2004, as follows: 1. Submissions are invited as a 2 (A4 paper) pages, formatted according to the guidelines for papers (see standard formats) and presenting:
Lab Responsible Lab Address and link to the Lab Web page Lab History and Mission Lab Objectives Lab Running Projects 2. Submissions should include a cover page listing the following information:
Name of the presenting author Name of the contact author Preferred presentation type (oral presentation, poster or demo session) Up to five keywords 3. Lab Presentations must be written in English, although oral presentations can
be delivered in Portuguese, Spanish or English. 4. Labs may send 1-2 pictures of representative projects, buildings overviews, etc. for inclusion in the site that will be set up based on the submitted presentations. Lab Presentations will not be submitted to review except for their suitability to topics of the conference, but may be scheduled for a different type of presentation depending on space and time constraints. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and to present the Lab communication at the event. Lab Presentations must be submitted electronically to carla@inf.ufrgs.br, in PDF
format (only electronic submissions will be acceptable).
