"Red" was the dam of DJ - Ch. Dick Johnson Di La
Scala, and a dauther of Ch. Canio Di La
Scala. She was called "Red" because she was La Scala's first red IG.
Lilian showed her to her championship for her owner, Toni Ann Todaro.
When Toni decided to go into Basenjis there were several near catastrophes
between the Basenjis and the IG's. Toni asked Lilian if she wanted "Red".
Lilian took her also because she was afraid she would eventually be killed
by the Basenjis. "Red" did lots of winning. Lilian thinks her red color
had a great deal to do with the winning. This color was just starting
to be seen in this breed and everyone was really excited about it.
